TITLE:
PHOTOGRAMMETRIC SOFTWARE ENGINEER
SCOPE:
Full-time position to perform C++ and Windows programming for internationally established photogrammetric software company. Evaluate existing and develop new application software.
RESPONSIBILITIES, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Work cooperatively with diverse staff from multiple departments in project tasks, which include planning, developing, implementing and testing software.
Education Desired: At least a BS in a related computer field required.

Organization: Kuskokwim Native Association (KNA) is a regional Native organization in Aniak, AK that represents villages of the Middle and Upper Kuskokwim River. KNA’s Fisheries Department conducts a number of fisheries research projects in cooperation with the Alaska Department of Fish and Game and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
Duties:
1) Assist with logistics of cooperative fisheries projects.
2) Inventory, order, track, receive, ship, and manage supplies and equipment for cooperative fisheries research projects.

The Alaska Department of Natural Resources has been very pleased with providing the internship program which benefits the UAA students. The Department staff also recognizes that the students entering the program have performed exceptionally well in the execution of their assigned tasks. We’ve also experienced some high responsible work ethic and motivated interest on the part of many of the interns. Many of these candidates have been subsequently absorbed into the ADNR workforce through the recruitment process.
The next meeting will be held on Friday April 13th.
The topics that will be discussed during this meeting, will be:
1) Choosing a project that the CS Club will be developing (so far the choices are: a game or cell phone application)
2) Electing the treasury for the CS Club
3) Outlining the chosen project and developing a concept
4) Other stuff
There will be pizza at this meeting.
