videoStanford School of Engineering Videos10/06/2008 - 23:14 Etc/GMT One of my students pointed out the Stanford Engineering Everywhere site today. The site puts 9 of Stanford's most popular computer science and electrical engineering courses online, complete with exercises, online handouts, quizzes and tests, videos of lectures, and even communication with other SEE students. A motivated student could remotely participate in the class just like a Stanford student in the classroom. In the CS realm, there are courses on introductory programming, robotics, natural language processing, and machine learning. Self-promotion: Problem Solving with C++ textbook02/22/2008 - 14:43 Etc/GMT Time for some more self-promotion! Another textbook that I spent a considerable amount of work on last year is "Problem Solving with C++" by Walter Savitch. I reorganized some of the chapters, wrote new end-of-chapter programming exercises, and added some new content. The 7th edition is now available. More information is on the Pearson website: I spent most of my time recording videos using Camtasia. These videos include solving problems and explaining key points regarding programming in C++. Some of them are available here: |
