This 7" second Mimo touchscreen monitor looks kind of interesting:

At $229 it's not too expensive and is easy to add to a system via USB. I'm thinking this could come in handy for a lecture using the computer hooked up to a projector. The primary screen would be mirrored with the projector and the Mimo display could be used to display the lecturer's notes. The touch capability would make it pretty easy to scroll around on the notes. I realize PowerPoint allows hooking the projector up as a second monitor while the speaker's notes are on the laptop screen, but the pen for a tablet doesn't work as well this way and there is less real estate for the instructor to see on the screen. Besides, most of my lectures are in OneNote or something outside of PowerPoint anyway. Right now I print my lecture notes out but it would be nice to truly go paperless... the slider model folds up pretty compactly and should be pretty light.

This is an impressive idea.

This is an impressive idea. $229 is not too expensive if you really want to add this device to your lectures. I think you should totally do it. It would be like the first advanced technology thing to be used in lectures. You can look for more touch screen monitors online. Check here: Touch Screen Monitors
