Had to install new motherboard. Tried to reinstall windows xp pro., but
original cd key gave an invalid error. Called tech support and received new
key code to use. Still receiving invalid key code error. Called tech

office home and student

I had previously installed office xp with frontpage from a file sharing
prog.on my home pc.

Yesterday I bought and installed home and student, installed it on my pc,
validated it, and try to dl templates from office site. It is now telling me
my software is not genuine , because the xp version is the only one showing.
I have tried to uninstall xp version but it wont let me remove the full prog.

Can some one help me resolve this issue.

Thanks for replying..too bad there isn't any solution for this.
I registered on microsoft connect. But apparently I cannot submit a
suggestion, because of some permission thing..

Publishing WCF Services to Windows Azure : Brian Loesgen's Blog
Dec 22, 2008, 5:06AM I had a little hickup today as I was playing around exploring Web services and Windows Azure. After scanning the Internet, I'm now convinced that most people out there working with Azure are hosting Web apps up there, not Web services, based on the...

So how do you shut off auto start in chess titans?

Why does the game automatically start instead of allowing the user to
set up the options beforehand like color and level? Is there any way to
shut down the auto start?

Serious 2003/2007 upgrade issue

The uninstall reinstall process does nothing to either the outlook data
files or the outlook profile.
Assuming you've run a repair using the office cd, locate scanpst.exe (search
to include hidden) and run it against all the pst files.
If you have anti virus intergrated with outlook, uninstall it
Then retest outlook, if there are still problems, check the properties of
each pst file, advanced tab, to see if the format states Outlook data file
and not 97 - 2002 format.
If thats all clear then create a new Outlook Profile, set as default, add
the data files & accounts (dont copy)

Live Search Maps Plugin

This is a last ditch effort to retain a plugin that I really like but is just
too unstable, at least on my PC!
I first installed this (v3.0) about two years ago but after realising I
didn't want the IE toolbar, etc. that came with it, ended up uninstalling
everything and doing a clean reinstall of just the plugin. However, from that
point on, the first problem appeared - the pushpin icon has never displayed
in any Outlook appointment map again! Anyway, struggling on, over the last
couple of years, I have constantly had to uninstall and reinstall this thing,
because after a couple of months a debugging error message would appear that
I could not get rid of (I don't know enough to do the debugging) w/o just
uninstalling the whole thing and starting again! A couple of months ago, I
finally just gave up on it for good and dumped the thing, but perhaps someone
here can provide the answer! I use XP with SP2 and Office 2003.
There is one possibly related issue that I should mention, and that's with
IE (I still use v6): I cannot use the Live Search website! It will completely
freeze up, quite often right after the map first appears after my entering a
location! I also have Win 2000 on a separate partition, also using IE6, and
the same thing happens there too!
I checked with a friend who also still uses IE6, and he has no problems with
the website. Two plugins that might be suspect are McAfee SiteAdvisor and X3
Watch. Could the two issues be related?

No question about it. On my end my laptop with OE is very fast for newsgroup
reading (I use Outlook for email and calendar) and on my Vista machine
Windows Mail for newsreading is very slow in all actions. If I could run OE
on my Vista box I'd switch in a heartbeat. Will be curious to see if Windows
Mail is improved in Windows 7.

I also get the same message and seem unable to overcome it. Thanks in

Duplicate Section Groups

I have one note 2007. Recently, when I reopen the One note program, I find
that there are several duplicate section groups at the top. They mirror
sections that are already there. I have no idea why this all of a sudden
started doing this. It actually adds 20 new section groups on 4 separate
section topics that I have listed.

IE Bombs when accessing sites as standard (non-admin) user on Win2

I have a situation where IE is quitting instantly when a user that isn't in
Domain Admins tries accessing any website (internal or external).

Server is 2003 Terminal Services with SP2
Client doesn't appear to matter

Symptoms:

Normal user double-clicks IE which opens, then immediately closes.

This is occurring on 5 out of 8 servers in a TS farm!
I've found that if I set the default home page to "about:blank" IE opens
fine, but as soon as I try to access *any* page at all, it closes instantly.

o No errors that I can see in any of the Event Logs.
o I've created a new *local* user to rule out an errant GPO
o I've checked Local Policy and found nithing to be defined at all
o I've tried moving one of the servers into the "Computers" container to
disable as much Group Policy as possible (temporarily)
o I've reset IE security settings to default to no avail
o I've disabled the Proxy to no avail

Explorer.exe *also* appears to be affected to some extent in that, if I can
get it running from a standard user account, it basically bombs out/locks up.
This tells me there's something related to DLL's etc. not quite right.

Can anyone suggest a way forward?

Regards,

Paul

IE8 - Some websites aren't displayed correctly

I can't seem to find the solution for my problem. Some websites aren't
displayed correctly, e. g. deviantart.com and it has nothing to do with the
compatibility view, cos I tried that serveral times, reset the IE,
deactivated all add ons, but nothing seems the help. It's even more
mysterious, cos 1 day ago everything looked fine so I have no clue what
happened.

I've got Win 7 and IE8.
