Information Technology (Computer) Careers

UAA offers many programs that:

bullet

Prepare traditional high school graduates for life long careers

bullet

Prepare working adults for new careers or opportunities for greater responsibility.

Start by considering if you would like ideas and tools to explore different career options by visiting the Career Exploration site.  When you visit the Career Exploration site, visit the new link for help with selecting a program if you are interested in "computers", but don't know where to start.  If you just need some help understanding all of the terms, certifications, and tests, visit the Course Technology Glossary.

Next, if you are thinking about your career path and the changes in technical or organizational responsibility you would like to achieve, visit the IT Career Pathway model.

Then, if you would like to explore various degrees and consider the technical focus of the degrees, and how they may be similar to related degrees, visit the IT Degree Pathway page.

This test site has been established by Ky Holland of the Applied Technologies Division to investigate new tools for helping students and prospective students to learn about the education opportunities available at UAA.
